As a self identified “good girl” and recovering people pleaser I spent the first 30 years of my life doing everything I thought I was supposed to do — go to college, go to grad school to enter the family profession, work in the family business, meet a man, get engaged, get married, buy a house — until I finally realized I had checked all the boxes and I was absolutely miserable.

I spent 3+ decades denying my gut, my intuition, and everything I knew to be true about myself in order to make everyone but me happy until it literally made me so physically ill my body was screaming at me to listen.

As I spent the past 5 years burning it all to the ground, I swung the pendulum so far in the opposite direction of everything I thought I knew which

gave my nervous system time to heal shifting out of constant fight or flight and into regulation territory,

helped me tap out of my masculine and into my feminine energy,

and showed me how to shift out of forcing and controlling my way through to surrendering to the flow of life.

During this time, when the concept of structure, systems, and discipline would arise I would literally feel nauseous, my body would recoil, and I would immediately resort to an excuse or a distraction in resistance to anything remotely considered energetically “masculine.”

It wasn’t until something shifted within me 3 months ago when life presented me with several opportunities in a row to show up as a next level version of me.

I was given the chance to set some serious boundaries when it came to my energy and ultimately chose me over my usual people pleasing tendencies. With this came a massive ripple effect of everything I had been calling into my life and then some and I finally connected the dots…
